I remember going to Marist College in December 2011 to take my LSAT exam and thinking.. wow.. this is a beautiful university!! Prior to December 2011 I was involved in 2 car accident which led to several surgeries. Because I already had my LSAT scheduled, I decided to still take it. I remember being in excruciating pain while taking the exam. After getting my results, I decided that I was going to put law school on hold and focus on rehabilitating completely before taking the LSAT again. Three years later my daughter's company was offering a 25% discount for employees and families living in the same household. I thought, what better way to prepare myself with law school than with a communication graduate degree! Not to mention that Marist was also offering a discount to new students that graduated with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. I submitted all of my documentations, personal statements, recommendations and was accepted! It was definitely one of the highlight moments in my life!!

What a great story and you are still driving two hours each way every day? I am so impressed! After I had a car accident with no injuries, I would only drive around town. It took me a year to get back on the highway. You are amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt actually took me 3 years to drive through the same location of the accident. I would take the long way to avoid anxiety. I finally decided to face my fear and drive through the location. I still feel some type of anxiety, but it's getting better. Thank you!
